North America’s largest cross country ski marathon puts out an annual print magazine, The Birch Scroll. The race’s 50th anniversary edition of The Birch Scroll, in 2024, was bigger and more in-depth than ever. We interviewed friends and family of the race’s late founder, talked to local legends in Wisconsin’s northwoods, and wrote longform stories that appeared in the magazine.
